Joe vs the Meat Church Pork Belly Burnt Ends on the Kamado

Pork Belly Burnt Ends are savory little nuggets I like to call meat pillows.
Meat Church Pork Belly Burnt Ends

I've been lucky to find some pork belly at the grocery store recently. The local "butcher" doesn't have it. In the past I've had to order from Snake River Farms. Use this promo to save 5% AE5P3822 as of writing this ordering a 6lb Kurobuta Pork Belly will set you back $119. The quality is great. I can get a Smithfields brand from the store for about $10 a lb.

Normally Burnt ends are made out of brisket, however pork belly is an awesome alternative. I'll use a pork belly when I'm making burnt ends as an appetizer. This is the route to go when cooking a whole brisket isn't always ideal.

The recipe

I used the Honey Hog this time around and it didn't disappoint.

This is a crowd pleaser for sure and the recipe is simple enough. The first time making them I didn't cube them up thinking I'd lose some of that delicious fat. When I did that they weren't as "burnt". Definitely cube them up.
