Joe vs. The Perfect Grilled Steak by Kamado Joe!

There is a reason why John is considered the Kamado Guru. His recipes are always on point. This is a direct grilled method as opposed the the reversed seared featured here!

The reverse sear is my favorite as I can cook it more low and slow till it gets to temp to sear. That way I can get a nice smokiness flavor to it. This way is faster for the times when you just need to get dinner done in a hurry. Yes I know it's a pretty low quality picture but it's the only one I had. This is another reason why I need the Big Joe. With the divide and conquer cooking system you can't use a grill expander.

I used my cast iron skillet to finish the steaks off in the buttery goodness of rosemary, thyme and roasted garlic. Portabella caps go great on the grill as well.
